Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS/DMLM)

DMLS is a perfect option for when your team is challenged with complex metal geometries which are impossible or impractical to produce and not cost effective to test or manufacture, Based on layer-build technology this rapid prototyping service manufactures parts using a fine 20 micron thick metal powder material evenly spread over the build area in 20 micron thick layers. A powerful 250w CO² laser fuses or melts together the layers which are evenly delivered by the recoating arm. The end result is a 98% dense component with an excellent surface finish, manufactured to 3D CAD data with a repeatable accuracy of +/-50 microns.
