A fully insured and protected Product Development facility established for Short Run Manufacturing from 50 to 1000 parts inclusive. Scanning and inspection services leading to Rapid Prototyping and Finished goods. Secondary services include Hard Anodizing Finishing services and Versa Laser VLS6.60/CO2 engraving marking options. We incorporate techniques typically found only in the defense and aerospace industries.
Our work is created with the intention to “Serve Those That Serve”. We make sure that we meet your critical requirements, and to do so we incorporate GD&T standards in a 3D CAD system. We verify our work utilizing a predictive modeling technique, Finite Element Analysis (FEA). The harshest of environments are simulated and work is modified and optimized to meet the most stringent requirements. The result of this process are higher quality products, and in the case of firearms, a more accurate weapon system.
Material Selection You can’t have a high quality product without starting with high quality material. Our group uses only cold-rolled billets in the manufacturing of our products; forgings are never used. All material is aircraft grade, sourced from US based manufacturers, and is delivered to our facility with their chemical test certification. If we say it’s 7075-T6 or 316L stainless steel, or any other requested material, you can feel confident that’s exactly what you will receive.
Manufacturing Manufacturing techniques are just as important as good design. Poor process control can negatively impact quality. We utilize advanced manufacturing simulation (CAM) to optimize machining paths and take full advantage of a highly accurate, 5-axis CNC machine. We can hold tolerances to within 13 microns, repeatable. This enables us to guarantee extremely precise parts while ensuring timely delivery of orders. We finish all products in accordance with MIL-A-8625 Type 3 Class 2 hard coat anodizing. All coating processes are completed in-house… and never outsourced.
Verification We utilize an inspection and test process in the verification of our design concepts. Lot samples are laser scanned and compared to digital models. Inspection reports are reviewed to ensure our products are manufactured to the exacting tolerances specified in our design requirements. Physical testing is performed to verify fit, function, and finish. When appropriate, our engineers cycle test the finished products.
Our manufacturing facility is fully licensed and insured facility. In addition, we have extensive security measures installed and deployed, keeping your products in a safe, environmentally-controlled, and protected environment.
Laser EngravingProvides fast, high detail engraving, marking and cutting of parts or products. These precise engravings or markings can be done as part of a production run, for a single unique part, or as a separate service on already finished parts. Applications vary from awards and personalizing existing products to industrial parts that need engraved or etched markings.
We offer MilSpec Class 3 Hard Anodizing service. Most of our parts use this finishing process.
MIL-C-5541E is the military specification titled Chemical Conversion Coatings on Aluminum and Aluminum Alloys. This specification covers the requirements for two classes of chemical conversion coatings formed by the reaction of chemical conversion materials and the surface of aluminum and aluminum alloys. This specification is intended to specifically provide components of military weapon systems with maximum corrosion resistance. The coating also provides a surface having better paint adhesion than uncoated aluminum. It is not intended as a general purpose coating for commercial and decorative applications.
Duracoating can be applied after anodizing where requested or needed.
